Barber Family: Chalk Cliff Comics is a free, drop-in creative workshop taking place on Saturday 18 April from 11am–3pm at The Exchange. 

Designed for children aged 4–10 and their accompanying adults, the session invites families to collaborate on writing and illustration activities in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Led by artist Michael D Kennedy, the workshop is inspired by Chalk Cliffs in the Sun by Otto Dix, encouraging participants to explore storytelling through both words and visuals. No booking is required, allowing attendees to arrive at any time during the session.

The venue is centrally located opposite the Library of Birmingham and offers comprehensive accessibility features, including level access, accessible toilets, baby changing facilities, a Changing Places toilet, and guide dog access.
