g&g Stitch Academy Half Term Sewing Workshop – Tote Bags

Is your child or teenager inspired by the Sewing Bee and eager to learn how to use a sewing machine? This May half term, join the fun at g&g for a fun and hands-on Kids’ Tote Bag Sewing Workshop! In this creative session, children will learn to sew their very own stylish and sturdy tote bag, perfect for carrying books, toys, or treasures. 

When: Thursday 29th May 2025, 10:00am – 1:00pm

Under the guidance of our friendly tutor, they will:

• Learn to safely and confidently use a sewing machine
• Stitch a straight seam and finish raw edges neatly
• Attach webbing straps
• Personalise their bag with pockets, patches, and trims to make it uniquely theirs

The workshop is designed for beginners but can be tailored for more confident sewers with extra skills like sewing French seams and making fabric straps. By the end of the session, each child will take home their very own handmade tote bag.
