  • 10:00am–1:00pm
  •  £40
  • Ages 7+

Perfect for budding designers, this hands-on sewing workshop teaches children how to create their very own custom tote bag from scratch. Guided by an experienced tutor, they'll learn how to use a sewing machine safely, sew straight seams, turn corners, and work with a range of sewing tools and materials.

Participants can choose from a variety of bright, fun fabrics and personalise their bag with useful pockets, colourful ribbons, and decorative details, creating a one-of-a-kind accessory that's both stylish and practical. Suitable for complete beginners as well as children with some sewing experience, everyone will leave with new skills, increased confidence, and a handmade tote bag to take home.

🎒 Cross Body Bag Workshop

  • 30th July
  • 10:00am–1:00pm
  •  £40
  • Ages 7+

Design and sew a stylish cross-body bag that's perfect for carrying everyday essentials. During this three-hour workshop, children will learn how to use a sewing machine, sew straight and zig-zag stitches, and assemble their project using a sturdy strap and secure popper fastening.

With a choice of colourful fabrics and decorative finishes, every bag can be personalised to suit its maker's style. Beginners are welcome, while children with previous sewing experience can develop more advanced techniques as they complete a practical accessory they'll enjoy using long after the workshop.

Notebook Cover Workshop

Create a personalised fabric notebook cover while learning the fundamentals of sewing and decorative appliqué. Children will explore different fabrics, shapes, and colours before stitching together a unique cover that's ideal for journals, sketchbooks, or school notebooks.

Alongside learning how to use a sewing machine safely, participants will practise essential sewing skills and gain confidence working with textiles. The finished notebook cover makes a wonderful keepsake or thoughtful handmade gift.

  • 11th July
  • 10:00am–1:00pm
  •  £40
  • Ages 7+

Brighten up a bedroom or celebration by sewing a set of personalised fabric bunting. Children will select coordinating fabrics, colourful trims, and decorative details before learning how to cut, stitch, and assemble their own custom bunting.

The workshop introduces core sewing techniques in a fun and creative way, encouraging participants to experiment with colours and patterns while making a decoration they can proudly display at home or give as a handmade gift.

  • 13th August
  • 10am–1pm
  •  £40

Make a versatile fully lined accessory pouch that can be used as a sunglasses case, pencil case, makeup bag, or small clutch purse. Children will choose from a selection of eye-catching jacquard fabrics before learning how to construct, line, and finish their pouch with a popper fastening.

This workshop introduces more detailed sewing techniques while remaining accessible for beginners, helping young makers build confidence as they create a practical item they'll use every day.

Fun Cushion Cover Workshop
