Spooky Maize Mazes

The maize maze gets a Halloween makeover for October, with spooky games and challenges to complete along the way. There are still two mazes to explore, and every visitor receives a map, activity card and stickers. The spooky theme is designed to be fun rather than frightening, making it suitable for a family autumn adventure.

Pick Your Own Pumpkin

One of the highlights of an October visit is choosing a pumpkin straight from the field where it was grown. Visitors can head to the pumpkin patch, grab a wheelbarrow and search for their favourite pumpkin. There are more than 70 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds grown on the farm, ranging from tiny pumpkins to much larger varieties.

Once the perfect pumpkin has been chosen, it can be taken back to the gift shop to be weighed and paid for before heading home. Book your visit

Find the Pumpkin House

The Pumpkin House has become one of Lichfield Maize Maze's popular October traditions and is a great spot for an autumn family photo. Whether it's a first visit or part of an annual Halloween tradition, it's worth having the camera ready for a seasonal snap.

Food, Play & Plenty of Space to Explore

There’s more to the visit than pumpkins and mazes. Families can make a day of it with the on-site play areas, giant sandpit, straw bale towers and mini tractor yard.

The Field & Flower Café serves hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and ice creams, while families are also welcome to bring their own picnic and use the picnic areas. Book your visit

Quiet Time Sessions

For families and visitors who prefer a calmer experience, two Quiet Time Sessions are taking place during the October season. These are on:

  • Sunday 4th October 2026
  • Friday 23rd October 2026

Entry is between 9am and 10am, with visitors then able to stay and enjoy the farm for the rest of the day. Numbers are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
