Celebrate the birthday of Birmingham-born Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on Friday 28 August with a special drop-in event exploring his life, artwork, and lasting influence on both the Pre-Raphaelite movement and the city.
Visitors can honour the tradition started by artist Bernard Sleigh by creating decorative paper flowers to place beneath The Star of Bethlehem, while also enjoying large-scale drawing sessions with artist Tat Vision, guided viewings of the iconic painting in closed gallery spaces, and spotlight tours showcasing Burne-Jones’ work alongside pieces by Bernard Sleigh.
